Après l'annonce du retrait de la licence des principales radios et télévisions privées du pays, le Directeur de Cabinet du président de l'UFR, l'ancien ministre, Mohamed Tall a dans un tweet qualifié cet acte de "coup de grâce à la démocratie". Pour lui "seul un sursaut national pourrait sauver le pays".
